Bugs

We are all sitting around waiting for the bug guy to come. We've always had lots of spiders, but recently we found 2 black widows in our garage. One was crawling into a wet suit. Good thing Dave was home so I could go get him to kill it. The kids are afraid to go into the garage by themselves because they are sure the black widows will get them. We also have some kind of wasp nests above the front door that have grown in number over the past 3 years. We haven't had any ant infestations recently, but it's always a possibility. You know how it is - you go to bed and everything looks fine. Then you wake up and whole colonies have set up shop on your kitchen counter and you're amazed at the progress they've made in such a short amount of time. Speaking of bugs, Dallin was stung by a bee yesterday while I was on the phone with the bug guy. He was playing in the sprinkler and apparently tried to hit the bee into the water. Well the bee didn't like that at all, so it stung him on the wrist. You can tell your kids about the dangers of bees, but sometimes they just don't get it until they're stung.

I'm guessing the picture was taken before the bee sting. By the way, I really like your new picture.

thanks maryruth! i used the hard light feature on my picture, which makes it look dramatic - especially when it's black and white. and yes, the picture of dallin was actually taken last week.
