Happy 4th

This morning we went to a parade. We were going to go to the annual flag raising and pancake breakfast at the stake center. But honestly the program is just too long - and it gets longer each year. Plus Dave's wrist is still a little sore and swollen, so he didn't want to go if he couldn't help with setting up the chairs. So we slept in 'till 8:00 instead. We sat in front of Dave's new office to watch the parade, along with his coworkers. His doctor rode a horse in the parade. The kids were excited about all the candy thrown to them.

Mom, dad and grandpa all came up for dinner last night at Kristen's house. Some of the kids ended up congregating around grandpa for stories. Then we went to watch a little fireworks display next to Dave's new office, put on by the place that sells them. We've had some late nights this week, so we're just relaxing at home this afternoon before heading out to watch the fireworks in our town.
