Christmas!

Warning: this blog is lengthy. It's just so hard to narrow down the pictures. We had a lovely Christmas Eve, although some people had a really hard time going to sleep. That puts everything behind, and we didn't get to bed until after midnight.

Then of course things got going really early. We told them they couldn't get us up until 6:30, and apparently some of them had to wait a couple of hours. Dallin got 4 hours of sleep. He warned me he might be cranky, but he wasn't. Christmas makes everyone happy.

Dallin is sounding awesome on his new trumpet!

Spencer bought little presents for everyone this year. He said it made him even more excited about Christmas morning because he couldn't wait to see their reactions. I love that about Christmas.

Spencer and Tyler were really excited to get a Boogie Board from Dave's mom!

I LOVE my new creme brulee torch! So far I've made creme brulee, of course, and it was amazing. I've also flamed marshmallow moon pies. It's so fun!

I love capturing reactions on Christmas morning. Dallin really wanted a camera, but he didn't think he'd get one. It was really cheap, and I'm not very happy with the quality. I guess that's no surprise - I'm picky. But he likes it, so that's what matters.

One of Tyler's favorite gifts: Spock ears! Levi loves his remote control shark car, which is good because he used to be extremely afraid of anything remote control.

The gift that Brennan plays with the MOST is this fun little kid camera. He can take videos and play little games with it. Again, the quality of the pictures is terrible, but it's perfect for him.

Spencer heard me complain one day that I didn't have enough pillows for sitting up in bed, so he got me a big fluffy pillow!  I love it when we drop clues without realizing it.

Chloe woke up about halfway through opening presents. She was happy all morning!

Dave always likes to get a family calendar for work.

As you know, Chloe loves dogs. I found her this little chihuahua, which barks and walks. She loves it!!

Santa pulled through and got Brennan a robot! It's so cool.

We had so much fun with Chloe. She opened each present slowly and methodically, loved everything, and played with each one for the longest time.

 She loves her babies!

We like to get the kids a group gift that they can all play together. We got them a bunch of weapons and shields.

They're safer than sticks, and they look way cooler. They're not extremely sturdy, so Dave has had to glue and tape them a few times, but they got a lot of use.

We also got them lazer tag guns. They were super cheap on clearance, and they love them!

We had a lot of family over that week, and these were a big hit with all the cousins.

Tyler loves his new bow and arrows from Santa. Doesn't he look like an elf from The Hobbit?  He's really good, too. I tried it (my first time), and I couldn't believe how hard it was to keep the arrow on the bow. The day flew by, especially since I had to have a nap that afternoon. It was a great Christmas!
