The days following Christmas are relaxing and wonderful. Everyone plays happily with their new toys, and there isn't anything else on the schedule. But I get a bit antsy after a couple of days. Dave went back to work on Friday, and I had to get out of the house too. We loaded bikes in the car and went to the park. We really don't go there very often, because my older boys have pretty much outgrown it, and the younger ones are content with our own backyard; however, we needed a change of scenery.
We went around 4:00 (it took us that long to decide where to go), and we were only there an hour. But it was just what we needed.
The bike path winds its way to the bottom, and the kids spent the rest of the time playing on a dead grassy hill. They said it was the most fun they've had at this park.
I like the soft coloring in these pictures.
They loved going down really fast on the Ripstik and scooters. It doesn't sound like much, but they didn't want to stop!
It's a little blurry, but I love Spencer's expression!
It was this time last year that Chloe got extremely sick with R.S.V. and had to be admitted to the hospital again. Although we had plenty of illnesses go through our house last month, nothing compared to that scary week. Thinking about it makes me so grateful for our overall good health and the time we had to be together this Christmas.
