Easter morning

We had a lovely Easter. It's was the second day of General Conference (we love it when Easter falls on conference weekend!), so we had plenty of time to find our baskets and eat our candy and play with our toys without having to rush and get ready for church. In fact some people stayed in their jammies until dinner!

Levi got a rescue helicopter.                                  Spencer got a hat for tennis.

Tyler got artist-quality colored pencils.                 Dallin got a metal tow truck model.

Levi and Chloe learned to peel their own eggs this year. They loved it!

 Love that goofy laugh!

 And that cute smile!

Chloe woke up late. She was cranky, of course (she always wakes up cranky), but she got happy quick! The pink peeps may have helped.

Dallin really enjoyed working with Dave on the model. After awhile he was able to do it on his own.

Chloe was so cute in her braids and sheep jammies - I took a bunch of pictures.

Dave always thinks it's a little odd that the Easter Bunny brings our kids presents in their baskets, since he didn't grow up with that. But I like that it fills the space with something other than candy. Plus it's fun to have a little something to play with while eating.

We had our Easter egg hunt between sessions, around lunch. First the older boys hid them for the younger kids. Then Dave hid them for the older boys.

This poor Elsa dress is getting so tattered. She wears it everyday!

Of course the ones for the big kids were much more challenging and took longer to find. Tyler recently found one that got missed.
