My sister Jen came to visit us for Thanksgiving, and we got to meet her little girl, Kyra. She and Chloe hit it off right away - they're the same age, and they have many shared interests!
We went to the beach with them the day before Thanksgiving. It was such a beautiful day!
I had my camera on me, and the lighting was beautiful, so I took individual shots of all my kids. I was glad I did, because I never had time to get family pictures for our Christmas cards and ended up just using these pictures.
Jen's husband Uche had to leave after the first week to go on a business trip, but Jen and Kyra were able to stay two more weeks. We loved getting to know Kyra, and we're excited to welcome her into our family! The adoption was finalized on January 7th!
Dave and Spencer ran a 10K turkey trot this year. Then we hosted Thanksgiving at our house. We had 3 turkeys - everyone wanted leftovers!
I had fun decorating the table, and I thought it turned out really pretty.
We set up one super long table in our living room with 23 place settings. You don't realize how BIG our living room is until you move the furniture out of the way! Of course the little ones left the table as soon as they were finished eating, but everyone else (Brennan and up) sat and visited with each other for a long time.We ate around 1:00 so my dad could be there before heading off to work, then we ate pie for dinner. Yum!
