My grandpa turned 90 last week! He had 30 friends over Friday night (Kristen's kids thought it was funny that he wanted a friend party), and we all went down Saturday for the family party. Both events were wonderful. He was happy and alert, and he especially enjoyed seeing everyone. 
It took 3 people to get all 90 candles lit before they melted away.

I don't think there's a happier 90 year old in the world than my grandpa.

Happy Birthday Grandpa! We wish we could have been there - it sounds like it was a lot of fun. And there's a LOT of candles on that there cake.
Yay, I'm glad you shared the pictures of the party. He had 30 friends at his friend party? That sounds pretty energetic.
Who were his friends who came? Also, what kind of cake is that? It looks like something yummy.

all kinds of people came, from church, cal poly, azarm, foot dr., michael and yvonne, dignans. we didn't go, but mom said it was a huge success, and grandpa really enjoyed it.
oh, and it's a store bought carrot cake. kristen also made 2 oatmeal cakes for alec and braden's b-day.
