Brennan had his Pinewood Derby at the end of April. He had amazing concentration, sanding those axles! Dave said none of our older boys were able to sit that long, which surprised me a little because he has a hard time sitting still. They were very smooth!!
He started his car a whole month early because Dave knew he'd be too busy right before the race. He's so good at planning ahead!
He named it "Lightning Bolt." He loves puns. He's like a mini Dave/Spencer.
This was the first year we didn't combine with the Templeton Ward, which made it a little low key. That was actually kind of nice. There were a TON of races, and it got faster as the day went on. He ended up tying for 3rd place, so they had a tie-breaker, and he won!
Such a cute little lightning bolt. I mean cool. The bolt came off when it hit the stopper at the finish. It was a really steep track this year, and the cars still had a lot of momentum at the end.
He had a fun time!
