We had our church Christmas party a couple of weeks ago, and we had a lot of fun games and activities. After dinner we sang Christmas songs with Chinnigans.
This was a huge hit, and all the kids wanted to do it.
As you can see, this involves lying on tables with heads hanging over the edge, covering up the eyes and nose with a hankerchief and singing upside down with fake eyes on the chin. It looked hilarious! We even had a video camera set up with a huge screen so everyone could see them up close.
My boys looked at youtube videos beforehand to get ideas.
After chinnigans we sang the 12 Days of Christmas, with each table singing and acting out one of the days. Our table had 6 geese a-laying. Then each table got a bag of supplies to decorate one person as a Christmas tree.
Then of course Santa stopped by for a visit. He was very jolly and fun for the kids (last year's santa was scary).
He was also very convincing as Santa. His own son Sam, who is 4, didn't recognize him. It was so cute - when Santa told Sam that he heard he wanted a chainsaw for Christmas, he looked amazed and said, "Thank-you."
